The Association works to safeguard interpreters’ health, to give advice on technical standards and to negotiate terms and conditions with the major international organisations such as the EU and UN.
ATA
The American Translators Association (ATA) is the largest professional association of translators and interpreters in the United States with nearly 10,000 members in more than 100 countries.
ATA was established to advance the translation and interpreting professions and foster the professional development of its members. Members include translators, interpreters, teachers, project managers, web and software developers, language company owners, hospitals, universities, and government agencies.
CNET
Chambre Nationale des Entreprises de Traduction (France)
A trade association since 1976, a founding member of EUATC in 1994, and an employers' association since 1999, CNET federates and represents translation companies based in France. Our mission is to create a strong link between the players in the sector, promote our professions, defend the interests of our companies in relations with the public authorities, and represent the translation sector within the industry's collective bargaining agreement.

ITI
The Institute of Translation & Interpreting (ITI) is a professional association representing translators, interpreters and language services businesses in the United Kingdom. ITI is affiliated with the International Federation of Translators (FIT).
ITI is the only UK-based independent professional membership association for practising translators, interpreters and all those involved in supplying language services. ITI seeks to promote the highest standards in the profession, supporting members and representing the industry at the very top level.
SFT
SFT : le syndicat des traducteurs, traductrices et interprètes
The French Society of Translators is the National Union of Translators in France. It has over a thousand members, translators and interpreters, including a number of legal experts. SFT carries out an active policy of information among its members, and assists the translators in the various aspects related to the exercise of their profession. SFT, very aware of the importance of quality, is in a daily struggle for greater professionalization of translation and for the implementation of best practices.
